Annabel Maginnis started her nail art career in 2015 after studying fashion and makeup in London. She’s always had a creative flair, so her manicure style quickly went viral and won admirers on social media. She opened her first salon in Newcastle a few years ago and is also an ambassador.
At this point, she already had a huge online presence in the nail industry and was featured on Scratch and other industry-leading nail magazines multiple times. Annabelle and her husband Elliott decided they wanted to launch their own brand. In 2017, Annabelle and Elliott launched the first batch of Glitterbels Acrylic Powder.
Two years later, they’ve launched more than 350 acrylic powders, as well as salon essentials like monomers, files, tubes, brushes, and even by extension, gel polishes and paints, available in more than 250 colors. They have literally wrapped their arms around everything related to nails and nail art. They are now one of the top professional nail brands in the UK. They have distributors all over the world, over 10,000 monthly customers, and a growing community of manicurists on their social media platforms.
The Nails by Annabel salon, aka Glitterbels HQ, is world famous and even has its own training academy. The training academy teaches aspiring manicurists how to properly apply acrylic powder and gel systems, as well as the perfection of art, removal and filing.
